onde de choc: Ginette Laurin's new work
In this work, Ginette Laurin probes the inherent sonority of the body, exploring and amplifying the sounds that are directly generated by the dancers' movements. Onde de choc (Shock Wave) premiered at Festival TransAmériques on May 28-30.

o vertigo to open and close the festival de danse et des arts multiples de marseille (francE)
Invited as part of the focus on Canadian dance, O Vertigo opened the 15th edition of the Festival de Danse et des Arts multiples de Marseille (F/D/Am/M) with La Vie qui bat (2009 revival) on June 17 and 18. In this work, the choreography flows to the repetitive patterns of a live performance of Drumming by Steve Reich, evoking never-ending movement. On this occasion, the O Vertigo dancers were accompanied by l’Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur under the direction of Georges Van Gucht,
a founding member of Les Percussions de Strasbourg.
After its world premiere at Festival TransAmériques in Montreal, Onde de choc was presented for the first time in Europe when it closed the dance program of the F/D/Am/M (Festival de Danse et des Arts multiples de Marseille) on July 5, 2010.
